What do you stand behind? • Emeline Betances: I stand behind equality, love, and peace. Also, behind a world where people can live their lives at ease, without the fear of waking up to the unbearable news of losing their loved ones to violence or even the police. I stand behind a world where people can love one another regardless of the color of their skin. • What are you most grateful in life? • Emeline: I am grateful for the life I have been destined to live. For the family and friends that I hold dear to my heart. Lastly, for the abundance of love and opportunities the lord has blessed me with.
