What do you stand behind? • Allanah: Expressing your true self whether it's positive or negative. I believe that not expressing your true feelings causes more damage, loss and regret than actually saying how you feel in that moment. If you fall in love, for instance, most of us will keep it to ourselves or resist it as if it's life or death. People are so afraid to make the wrong move, the wrong decision, worrying about saying the wrong thing- because of how the other person will receive it. I used to be so afraid to be vulnerable because i saw it as a sign weakness or that the recipient won't feel the same. I lived with a lot of regret because of that. But now im less afraid because I know the right people won't take advantage of that vulnerability, and I'm always selective on who I give that to. • You're starting a jewelry line with your Mother and Grandmother.. how does it make you feel that you're going into this with three generations under the belt? • A: It's really an ode to my grandmother, Martha Padilla-Suazo. She collected jewelry at a young age in Nicaragua and continued to add to her collection of jewels when she came to America. She partly raised me. She left an upper class life style in her country for a safer and better quality life here since there was so much war in Central America. She had many dreams that she never got to fulfill, because unlike America tries to claim ""The American Dream"" or ""Land of the Free"" it was not like that for our family. She spent her life as a house keeper and factory worker most of her life when she came here. I owe the birth and growth of success of Las Tres Marias to her for all that she did for us."
