After learning I could do portraits in mosaics, friends challenged me to do a portrait of Bernie Sanders. It was early 2020, before the Covid-19 lock down was on our radar, as dozens of volunteers came to our house to campaign for his 2020 Presidential run. Many volunteers wanted to sit near the portrait, because it motivated them to make their phone calls.
