Painting and collage concepts and strategies are brought together in this digital artwork. The horizon line dividing large areas of color with shades of blue provide the basic elements of a landscape or seascape, while fragments of letters and words create a subtle collage effect, a layering of semiotic and visual signs with their evocative tensions between surface and depth, between language and image.
