Klaus makes different flower-objects like these, sometimes leaving them natural, and sometimes coloring them when the wood is very bright like this one. This poplar wood made an ideal canvas for adding some color and he just slightly added color using a color lead pen by hand. The flower-object itself is turned by the artist by hand with the help of the lathe. Klaus used fresh wood for such objects, as it will give nice effects when dring like wrinkle or forming of the sides and also the steam bending of the stem is much more easy.
