Stopping the car by the roadside, the color of the sky seemed unreal - the lightning more so. Way to quick to capture or fathom, we found ourselves swimming at a nearby seaside location, only to view more lighting bolts from not so far away - in the sea this time! Wiser to the reality, we rushed home before sealing all doors, windows and waiting it out. There was something slightly romantic about the whole thing. Kika's digital landscape images on Loupe Art are a tribute to the time she returned to Art following a 15 year break, kickstarting her healing journey from anxiety, depression and burnout through revisiting nature. These landscapes were initially translated from photographs through to collage and only recently transferred through illustration to expand on the possibilities for sharing her work with her audiences.
