Created in 2020.

This is a painting inspired by an event, Uranus transiting Vanessa's 7th house, where you tend to shake off relationships that aren't working. Vanessa had some people from a past life lure their way back in only to notice the same patterns started before she'd even seen them.

The lake has spikes, Vanessa imagines how uncomfortable that lake would be to swim in.. spiky water which is fenced off, a barrier. Vanessa painted her hand stretching down from the sky dipping it's finger in the water through the fence, expressing how much of a stretch it would be for her to actually give that lake any real attention.
