Created in 2019. This digital drawing is a part of a series that expresses the artist’s experience of being a woman. As women, we project an ideal version of ourselves to others. This ideal is a fantasy rooted in the individual’s ego, as well as society’s expectations of being classically feminine. This illusion is simultaneously alluring and mesmerizing, yet fails to convince others. The individual’s true character always reveals itself. In this drawing, the girl’s persona is dissolving like bubbles chemically reacting to her natural self.
