DOES IT ADD UP?

Jason Stallings

Created 2018

A painting that expresses personal frustration with goings on in the world. This work was created following the initial gutting of publicly funded programs such as Planned Parenthood, the National Endowment for the Arts, the EPA, and Susan G Komen. The concept motivation behind this work was to refute the idea that gutting public funding for these programs are in the best interest of the public good vs. appeasing conservative ideology. Rather, a question is posed "Does it Add Up?"
