Created 2016. Family Reunion depicts African American families reuniting, preserving family culture and traditions, sharing information, and celebrating one another. African American family reunions have roots entangled in African ancestry and American slavery. African enslaved ancestors went to great lengths to carry on the traditions and values of our families, Through family we remember where we came from and where we are going.
