LEFTOVERS
Russ Rubin
Created 2020
Made in quarantine, these were painstakingly cobbled together from junk in Russ’s garage and basement — weird old trophies, discarded kitchen stuff, and knicknacks collected over the years — then slathered with leftover house paint. Something from nothing, beauty from trash, these are about questioning the idea of trophies — who gets them and who gets cast aside — to the detriment of our society and culture on a whole.
