Lumia is from the series called Cenote Medicine. This series resulted as I traveled to the ancient land of Mexico experiencing the rich culture and history--opening up my mind and eyes and presented new opportunities for artistic growth. I was intrigued and mesmerized by the stories and the rituals practiced by the natives. The vibrant colors of the surrounding nature, visiting the Cenotes and the richness of the culture, all had an impact on me had my creative juices moving, resulting in the paintings of this series.
