Music of the Spheres or the Harmony of the Universe - measure and proportions as both intellectual concepts and material reality (form plus substance) of the world is an idea that has its origins in Pythagoras in Ancient Greece and was elaborated by Kepler in his astronomical writings. The movements of the heavenly bodies create music as expression of universal harmonic measures relating the substantial realities of the microcosm and the macrocosm.
