Our sociocultural environment sexually objectifies the female body and equates a woman’s worth with her body’s appearance and sexual functions. A society that forces women to become explicit targets of objectification and that rewards them for treating themselves as sexual objects is oppressive and should not be tolerated. Our place in the world is not to be an object or decoration for men to admire.
