Flying on a plane is always a surreal experience, however flying during the evening always has unique rewards. First, there's less distractions on a night flight. There's much less chaos, much more booze, less coffee, better vibes overall. Then there's those expansive, light-grid overlays as the plane flies high above major cities. The coup de grace, is the indigo of the runway lights passing by at ninety miles an hour as you liftoff or touch down.
