NOTHING TO FEAR
Russ Rubin
Created 2020
The first larger piece created in quarantine, Nothing To Fear speaks to the sense of being surrounded from all sides and yet also of the need to push onward, if only because, what else is there to do? Depicting a city in flames, in danger of attack from a mounting tsunami, and a figure frozen in thought as to whether to continue onward, this is also the first of Russ's work in this style to utilize pastel on top of acrylic.
