Bjorn Bengtsson adventured into the Payson Forest, walking barefoot the Verde River, with pen and a roll of canvas in his pack. He sought the spirit of the forest. He felt the spirit of the forest in this wonderful winter tree stretching tall into the infinite sky, with roots deep into the Verde River. He laid out his canvas, sat on an old tree stump and drew a sketchful prayer of thanks to God for Life. He returned to his bedroom studio in Mesa Arizona. And with the colorful expressions of his own Spirit painted us this.
