The Artist, Natasha Meyer, uses elements of art such as color, texture, and line to capture the woman's emotion. Acrylic paint, oil pastel, and charcoal are carefully yet expressively layered onto the canvas to create movement - her form resembles someone in defeat - but the energetic brush strokes insist that she is beginning to rise again.
