Vanessa originally decided to paint a woman looking out the window with furniture floating around and as she created the artwork Vanessa decided that the room should be relatively empty and have a scene of presence at the same time which brought me to paint the chair in front of the window with a woman sitting in it as the shadow. Vanessa didn't feel like painting the corner of the room in the corner so she centered it adding to the centre focus. Vanessa also chose to whip out a Magritte and paint the chair with the image of the sky on it.
