This piece is a part of a series developed around a written narrative. The paintings and the accompanying story deals with themes of death and birth. The Catfish celebrates a creature often thought of negatively- ugly, bottom feeder...- but these fish have been a source of food while also keeping waterways clean. A great example of the benefits of symbiotic relationships.
