One hot summer, the artist worked in tomato fields and was inspired by a helicopter passing overhead. It was a sensational combination of light, sound, and fatigue that absolutely had to be translated into a painting. She built a cradled wood panel and applied layers of acrylic medium and paint before going over the acrylic with oil paints.
