Lewis gathers an immense amount of inspiration from mediums other than photography. His favorite painter, Dennis Hopper makes use of surrealist imagery and lighting to paint other-worldly scenery. Here, Lewis makes use of contained lighting while capturing some of his favorite subjects, the corner store, or bodega as it's known as in New York.
