Sitting on the surface of the canvas, the paint, sometimes thick, liquidy, drippy, misty, brush strokey, etc. infuses the banal, quiet, domestic space with mystique, horror, beauty, grace, drama, and anxiety.

Jennifer Cronin is a Chicago-based visual artist, specializing in realistic painting and drawing.  Cronin studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning her BFA in painting in 2009.  She is currently represented by Elephant Room Gallery in Chicago.
