Vanessa felt like making another fruit bowl painting although with a cow hide skin instead of fruit skin, she thought about having one fruit cut open although that idea's probably going to be for a sequel painting. Vanessa named it vegan, yet isn't the biggest fan of vegan diets so this is her expression that there's no substitute for meat. Can be taken lightly as a metaphor for tofu and how vegans transform it into all the flavours.
