Created 2016. Acrylic and mixed media on unstretched canvas. Whisperings was an experiment in loosening up the artist's usual texture and layering colors in ways she hadn't done before. As she painted, she actually felt as if it were whispering to her, guiding her where to go. It wasn't until she was finished that she realized there was a subtle "face" there! Created at her home studio in NY.
